It was strong for a while, riding at the head of group b. But some rollers before the rest stop at around mile 78 took something out of me and I dropped to the back of the group. When we hit camino nuevo I stayed behind the pack to try and A-climb it...however that put me near traffic and during one of my s's halfway up the steepest slope I almost hit a car following us. That's when I got off the bike and walked it up.
I made it to the lunch stop 5 minutes before they were leaving so I scared down some rice and beans then decided to try and stay with b. It was going good for a little while but some light rollers took me out.
I was then with a pack of 10 in the rear and we lost sight of the peletons and then proceeded to get lost, biking an additional 5 miles. At the next rest stop we waited for group c.
Group c was a breeze, too much so it was frustrating having to coast and brake. About 3 miles in from the last rest stop I hit a vicious potholes and pinch flatted the rear.
Tough day. Not sure how I will make it through the next 2.
